Greatness is synonymous to excellence which in turn means the possession of eminently good qualities. When we use the word “great” in reference to a book, we can surmise that it has been able to deliver the information to its intended readers. The greatest business books are those that are considered classics or those seen as belonging to the first rank in its genre.

The business books categorized under this specific ranking need not conform to a single form or idea. Their similarity lies in having contents that have given significant contribution to the benefit of society. Being grounded on the realities of their time, they are also attuned to the possibilities of the future thus their continued relevance in spite of the passage of time.

The oldness or newness of a book is not a major consideration to its greatness but its ability to influence the present time in spite of being produced many years before, is. There are business truths that have always been there but have only been given attention when presented in an efficient and convincing manner such as a book.

The greatest business books have a common message regardless of differences in language and propositions. This message says that businesses can find a way to address their specific challenges, having the inherent power to accomplish a complete turn-around by using such challenges to succeed. We are able to see this truth in stories of companies that have faced their challenges and prevailed. Others can benefit from these stories as told through business books that stand the test of time.

The business world has a complex setting that entails many changes. Business leadership will have to adapt to these changes to propel their companies to the top. This can only be possible through a thorough understanding of the multi-faceted aspects of business organizations.

The cost of education especially in getting a degree or advanced learning can be very prohibitive. The fiercest desire to attain higher education can be frustrated for lack of financial means to support it. Reliable tuition rankings make it possible for students to be realistically guided as they search for programs that are achievable in terms of the financial aspect.

When students start to work on their higher educational goals, they look for the best school that not only offers their desired area of study but also the lowest tuition rate that would still represent value for money. Low tuition for low quality education is of no value to a person aiming for a progressive and rewarding career. Tuition rankings therefore, have to be considered vis-à-vis program content. Financial assistance is usually offered by colleges and universities to put higher-priced programs within the reach of students facing certain financial constraints.

Tuition rankings can be used as a starting point for finding the suitable program and college. Searches can be narrowed down to a list of colleges offering a desired program within a specific price range. From there, students can now further investigate which college offers the best educational opportunity. Comparing tuition rates is not simply determining the lower numerical figure. It is about knowing the equivalent of the tuition rates being offered. Does the indicated tuition rate include the books and other learning materials? How many credits does a program grant to students after completion? Is the educational institution and its program accredited? Answers to questions such as these help students make intelligent comparison.
Decisions regarding education require deliberate study. It is so easy to be attracted by favorable tuition ratings. Students must be careful not end up wasting time and money in their efforts to find lower tuition costs.

Here are some a list of “what to dos” on your job interview which you might find useful.

• Dress Up Properly – You need to pay attention on how you look on your job interview day. Impress your interviewers with an attire suitable to the workplace but still gives you a fresh and perky look.

• Be Prepared – You need to prepare yourself days before the actual interview. You search the web for the most common or toughest interview questions. Of course, don’t forget to bring your updated resume if in case someone needs it.

• Be Confident and Be Conscious of how you look – If you’re nervous, try your best to hide it. Be confident on the way you walk and the way you converse with your interviewer. You also might want to check on how you look in front of a mirror.

• Be serious – It is not that appropriate to tell a joke on job interviews. Show that you are serious about the job you’re applying for. Address your interviewer as mister or miss unless if they asked you to call them by their first name or nickname.

Of course there are a lot of what to do and what not do in job interviews.

Good luck!

In choosing a career, one considers a lot of factors. Of course a lot will choose a career that pays well but others intend to choose a career that they truly love even with an average pay. In a survey conducted by Money Magazine, it shows that those who are changing careers are choosing passion over pay. Although it is okay to choose money over passion one should think about the stress of doing the things you don’t really want to. Those who choose money over passion are most likely to be burned out of their work after a while.

If you are really passionate about the career you have chosen, you will not care about how you earn.

Job hunting is not easy especially if you are new to it like those newly graduate who look for a job, or those under graduate who cannot continue their studies because of financial constraint. that’s why i suggest to those who are new to job hunting to ask your friend how did they do their first job hunting experience. one way that i call traditional job hunting is going to different companies and asking if they have vacancy. if they have no vacancy they will ask you to leave your resume so that they can contact you if they you for future reference. but i don’t suggest this type of job hunting because it requires a lot of effort, time, and money. imagine you will walk to and fro to look for a job and then you will spend money for your food, transportation, and miscellaneous. but then you are still not sure if you will be accepted. what a waste of time and effort?

They say getting a raise is inevitable for people who work and pray hard. If you’re a bad employee and are quite low on the productivity scale, chances are, you’ll never get a raise. That is, no matter how hard you try to convince your supervisor to grant your persistent request.

Actually, asking for a raise can be achieved through right timing. Yes, I’m talking about the time when you could bring up the topic of salary increase to your supervisor. Ask for a raise during the course of performance evaluation or during a promotion. During these times, supervisors are more open to the idea of meriting increases. Speak up but always be reasonable.

Not everybody can drive. It’s a fact that we all know about. While driving schools abound and most people have access to cars or have the means to acquire one, driving is something that not everybody has the patience to learn.

But, do you know that a driver’s license can help you get the job? Take for example the case of medical representatives. With the always-on-the-go nature of their work, medical representatives are required to drive a car to be more efficient and effective in their job.

Not only that, driving is a skill and most companies look for employees who know how to run a vehicle. So if you want to increase your chance of getting hired, make sure you know how to drive. And I mean responsible driving on that.

Good luck!

When you graduate from college, you remain connected with your alma mater through an alumni association. As an organization, alumni associations promote solidarity and camaraderie among the products of the school. They keep the flame of service to the school and the nation alive among alumni through various worthy endeavors that they get to support and participated in.

I am opening about alumni associations to suggest a networking tip for job seekers out there. It may be plain and simple but guess what, connecting with your alumni association is one of the most effective ways to find employment.

When you say alumni association, you are actually talking about a large organization of professionals who have more than enough knowledge and resources about the employment world in general. Take your job search to the next level by being an active member of your alumni association. This way, you can interact with the successful members and get employment leads or even free career advice.

You just can’t deny it, the U.S. economy has slowed down and lay-offs are starting to become a trend. Companies are pushing its cost-cutting efforts with vigor and jobs are becoming scarce. I believe this could possibly be the case for the rest of the months up until the presidential election in November.

In this time of struggle, workers get affected just like any other sectors of society. To find a new job after a lay-off is not so bad if you have the right amount of enthusiasm. You may try cutting your expenses to save money for the rainy season. You may also revitalize your networking by getting in touch with your contacts that could give you job leads. The more you prepare for it, the better you’ll be able to deal with lay-offs.
